What a load of BS. We suffer as the result of Original Sin. God did not intend, nor does He cause suffering. This life has but one purpose and that is to get to heaven. How we live our life determines how we spend eternity. Our Lord suffered on the Cross to open heaven so we could spend eternity with Him. There is no path to heaven but through the Cross. Therefore, we all must suffer as our Savior did to expiate our sins, and as far awe are able, the sins of the world.
This will probably fall on deaf ears because modern man believes that happiness lies in the pursuit of earthly pleasures, wealth, and power, and in having his every need met according to his own will. They believe that they alone are competent to decide what is truth and what is not, as if there can be more than one truth about anything. They are completely ignorant of the Three Laws of Thought that are the basis of logic. They do not know how to think deeply and critically, especially when faced with uncomfortable truths, such as the ones outlined above. They believe in Free Thought, the basis of which is the belief that each man is his own arbiter of truth.
I invite those with the humility and courage to admit that they may not actually have it all figured out to ponder this one point for a moment. How can we all have our own truth? How is it even possible for there to be as many "truths" as there are people on the planet now, much less those who lived in the past and who will live in the future?
