Have anons read "Colossus" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossus_(novel))?

It is eerie how similar the concept mimics that which is found in "silent weapons for quiet wars". See (pb) notable below. For instance, the book was published in 1966, and the "Silent Weapon" was almost exposed in 1967.

I do have a question for anyone who has read it.

On page 31 of the PDF, there is the section in the image attached. Why are the numbers 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and not 1-5? It reeks of some word processor malfunction. I'm not saying that's impossible if it's from 1986, but it is strange.

But I'm reading page 33 and the data sources are pathetic copmared to Google + Facebook + Amazon + Twitter + Instagram + Microsoft. And that's just in the US? Try China with the entire internet owned, or the UK with the entire society controlled with cameras? And a colossus to back it up? The voice of world control?
