So, does anybody have an understanding of how Gervais got away with basically calling Hollywood a bunch of sick perverts all night during the Golden Globes?

Was this some sort of sick mea culpa by Hollywood?

I don't get it because I know once that red light goes on in Hollywood they tightly control the message and visuals.
