In the event some wayward Anon, lurking or fagging, happens across this and can be persuaded to listen…
We do not 'trust the plan' because of fire from the sky or secret coded words to be proven wrong about. We 'trust the plan' because we are certain of the only other option in which we have a chance at a free world.
I am prior service. I was trained to identify and eliminate threats. I have no grand elaborate scheme to avoid the traps obviously in place for such a brazen revolutionary plot. I have no amazing economic pull to undo the restraints placed on our domestic production. I have knowledge and potentially some innovations to assist on that front - but nothing that can jump in and replace thousands of tons of refined barstock use per day.
The death tolls cease being standard counts and simply become percentages of the general population or various demographics. The only 'plan' people like myself have is the ability to kill the enemy faster and to rally troops more effectively in a mutually assured race to the end of days. I, personally, do not expect to survive. I have passed on long term relationships and other such things because I have known for some time that I would be 'lucky' to survive as a 'wizard' with knowledge of how to reproduce the technology necessary for the descendants of our culture to not be completely servile.
The cabal loses, either way. People like myself will assure it, even in the costliest hours of our existence. Hell - perhaps this is even part of the proverbial plan, and we are just being coordinated in our efforts by the hope for a miracle - a solution we could not conceive of, ourselves - a sort of free lunch from the divine.
I do not see the use, either way, in rushing to embrace the typical depictions of armageddon. Even though I am frustrated to tears with 'my fellow humans' - I only fancy torturing my own - those who believe themselves gods over man. I simply have a much more reserved take on my role as 'more than human.' The truly elite are not threatened by the progress of their juniors and welcome those around them to new peaks.
