New Deep State narrative?

Several sketchy sources claim Soleimani was invited to Baghdad for peace talks between the Saudis and Iran. Iraqi PM Adel Abdul-Mahdi is cited as a source for this. Especially sketchy is a claim that Secy of State Pompeo was involved in issuing the invitation. Treachery is of course implied. I imagine this might be brought up in the Congressional hearing on Wednesday:

The VT article is the one naming Pompeo. VT head Gordon Duff is known to be anti-Trump.
