Here are my notes on pages 200 - 250. Sorry didn't know where else to post them.

Pages 205 - 211 - Our government spends ridiculous amount of money in the FDA, the pages break down their $5,145,945,000 appropriation - a large portion of it (about 1/2 it appears) funded by drug user fees (us the consumer).

Pages 211 - 212 - Commodity Futures Trading Commission budget is whopping $248,000,000. Last reported in 2006 they had about 435 employees. Seems excessive even at DC office overhead expenses.

Pages 212 - 238 deal with various farming, agricultural, food agencies, guaranteed lending for farmers, equipment, vehicle purchases. Some stuff seems legit. $20,000,000 for salaries and expenses in Farm Service Agency seems high to me, but not sure how many employees in that particular enterprise.

Pages 222 notes commodity purchases $35,853,000, but not clear what these purchases are unless I'm missing something.

Page 238-239 interesting. Notes that any public water or wastewater system in need of construction, alteration, maintenance or repair must use iron and STEEL from the United States - UNLESS they want use lame excuses A, B or C:

A) Would be inconsistent with public interested (whatever that means, when is not in the public interest to use American iron and steel?)

B) Insufficient quantity available in the United States (duh they did that by design)

C) Inclusion of US iron and steel would increase overall project budget by 25% (well that's a handy excuse not to buy and hire American isn't it?)

Pages 240 - 246 mostly deal with programs like child nutrition (National school lunch act, child nutrition act, etc), grants and loans for "persistent poverty counties", SNAP program.

Page 247 - 250 define various tobacco products like cigar and vapor products and I think may have some consequences for the industry. Page 249 says they can't advertise in print or any publication and that a retailer may only sell in a face to face exchange (no vending machine -but that rule seems only to apply to cigars not e-cigs).
