Iran General Salami: ‘Hard, Firm, Regrettable’ Strikes Coming Against U.S

Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Hossein Salami said Tuesday that Iran is seeking revenge against the U.S. that “will be hard, firm, regrettable, decisive and complete.”

The major general was speaking at the funeral of Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani, semi-official domestic news agency IRNA reports.

Salami praised the general and Iran’s promised reponse, saying “today all humanity admires and praises him as a model of resistance and support for the oppressed. They want to throw the sun off, make a mistake by throwing rocks, and this is the tradition of the criminals of the universe who do not understand and cannot fight the sun.”

Salami is no stranger to making threats against America’s interests. As Breitbart News reported, as recently as 48-hours ago he said Iran would deliver a “painful” blow to the U.S. somewhere in the Middle East.

Just how Iran would do this was not outlined, however last September he declared Iran has special “hidden” military powers it is ready to unleash at any moment on an unsuspecting world.

According to the domestic Fars News, Salami said enemies of his country are unaware of secret capabilities of Iran, adding Tehran has significantly enhanced its military power to create threats and problems unknown and unexpected for anyone who opposes it.

“Our enemies must know that we have increased our capability of creating unknown threats. We have not yet disclosed our main sources of power and what they have seen and we have used so far is a small part of our capacities,” the major general said.

Rasmussen Poll: 5-in-8 Swing Voters Want to End Chain Migration to U.S

The majority of likely swing voters say they want to end the process known as “chain migration,” wherein newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the United States, a new poll finds.

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey reveals that about 62 percent, or 5-in-8, swing voters said they oppose chain migration, which has been used to bring entire foreign villages to the U.S. — legally. Overall, nearly 6-in-10 of all likely voters said they oppose chain migration, while only about 30 percent said they supported the process.

Across racial lines, the majority of white Americans, black Americans, and Hispanics said they oppose chain migration. Specifically, more than 6-in-10 white voters, 53 percent of black Americans, and nearly 6-in-10 Hispanic voters said they do not support allowing newly naturalized citizens to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S.

About 7-in-10 of all legal immigrants to the U.S. arrive as chain migrants, with every two new immigrants bringing on average seven foreign relatives with them. Only one in 15 legal immigrants admitted to the U.S. come to the country based on skills and employment purposes. Though roughly 150,000 employment-based Green Cards are allotted every year, half of those Green Cards actually go to the foreign relatives of employees.

As Breitbart News has reported, chain migration — if not ended — is set to bring about eight million new foreign-born voters to the U.S. over the next two decades. This massive importation of new voters has major political consequences for Republicans as Democrats have a 90 percent chance of winning any one congressional district that has a foreign-born population over 14.5 percent

The poll surveyed 1,250 likely U.S. voters and was conducted from December 23 to 28.

And we are. We have sent notice-of-violation letters to 19 large counties in five states that we intend to sue unless they take steps to comply with the law and remove ineligible voter registrations within 90 days. Section 8 of the act requires jurisdictions to take reasonable efforts to remove ineligible registrations from their rolls.

Despite our successful litigation to bring counties and states into compliance with the NVRA, voter registration lists across the country remain significantly out of date. According to our analysis of data released by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) this year, 378 counties nationwide have more voter registrations than citizens old enough to vote, i.e., counties where registration rates exceed 100%.

These 378 counties combined had about 2.5 million registrations over the 100%-registered mark, which is a drop of about one million from our previous analysis of voter registration data. Although San Diego County removed 500,000 inactive names from voter rolls following our settlement with Los Angeles County, San Diego still has a registration rate of 117% and has one of the highest registration rates in the county.

Judicial Watch Attorney Robert Popper is the director of our Election Integrity initiative. In the latest round of warning letters, we explain that implausibly high registration rates raise legal concerns:

An unusually high registration rate suggests that a jurisdiction is not removing voters who have died or who have moved elsewhere, as required by [federal law].

Judicial Watch also considers how many registrations were ultimately removed from the voter rolls because a registrant [had moved]. If few or no voters were removed…the jurisdiction is obviously failing to comply . . . States must report the number of such removals to the EAC.

We found major voting list issues in California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado. The following counties have excessive registration rates or have failed to cancel sufficient numbers of ineligible registrations:
