HOW can it be definitely proven that a video is or is not a deep fake?
What technology would be used and is the analysis going to be credible?
Will real videos also be dismissed as fake?
Will fake videos be accepted as real?
A long time ago anon attempted to patent digital (cryptographic) signatures on video streams placed into the stream by the original recording device in such a way that the authenticity of a recording could be proven in a way that meets the standard of proof required for evidence in a criminal trial. Don't know if that technology idea ever got implemented. Sad.
It would have solved this deepfakes problem, at least made it harder to fake them and easier to prove the true ones as true.
