Breaking: Virginia vows to shut down all gun ranges not owned by the state

Virginia just went full blown communist.

If it wasn’t bad enough watching the action unfold surrounding unconstitutional gun laws and the militias being formed to fight against them, now it seems like Virginia is trying to pull yet another move.

They want to shut down every gun range in the state that isn’t owned by the government.

According to House Bill 567, any indoor shooting range would be prohibited by law – UNLESS it was inside of a building owned by the state.

And any business owners who decided to defy the law could be facing up to a $100,000 fine and potential civil penalties.

Riyadh Announces Capture of 'Most Wanted Terrorist' in Saudi Arabia - Reports

BEIRUT (Sputnik) - Saudi authorities captured the country's "most wanted terrorist" in the city of Qatif in the kingdom's Eastern Province, state-run broadcaster Al Ekhbariya reported on Tuesday.

"The most wanted terrorist, Hussein Ali Aal Ammar, has been detained in Al-Qatif," the broadcaster said.

The Saudi Interior Ministry accuses Aal Ammar of a number of major crimes, including the abduction and murder of prosecutor Mohammed Al-Jirani, the shooting of a patrol car in Dammam and an attack on cash collectors.

Mexico's war on drugs: More than 60,000 people 'disappeared

More than 60,000 people have disappeared in Mexico since the start of the country's war on drugs in 2006, according to authorities.

The number is far higher than previous estimates of around 40,000.

On top of this, more than 31,000 people were murdered in the country last year alone.

While drug cartels and organised crime groups are the main perpetrators, security forces are also blamed for deaths and disappearances.

Around 53% of those who disappeared were between the ages of 15 and 35, and 74% were men, officials said.

They put the total of disappeared persons at 61,637 since records began in 1964. However the vast majority were recorded since 2006, which is when then-President Felipe Calderón started a military crackdown on the drugs trade.

Va National Guard responds to Dem’s claim they could be deployed to enforce new gun laws

The Virginia National Guard issued a response after getting entangled in a debate on the state’s proposed gun control measures.

The response came in the form of a statement released after Democratic lawmakers threatened the state’s law enforcement officials with “consequences” if they refuse to enforce future gun control laws, warning that the National Guard could be deployed to ensure compliance.

6.4 earthquake hits Puerto Rico; island-wide power outages; US military deployed

A deadly earthquake rippled along the southern coast of the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico on Tuesday morning.

At least one 77-year-old man has been killed and numerous injuries have been reported, but the exact number of injured is not yet known, according to the Washington Post. The latest earthquake is the second in two days, with a 5.8 magnitude earthquake having hit the day before.

According to CNN, Puerto Rico Gov. Garced Wanda Vásquez signed a national emergency declaration, activating the National Guard to assist in aftermath.

Garced also told government employees to remain home amid concerns about aftershock throughout the day.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported the Tuesday morning earthquake measured at a 6.4 magnitude. A 6.0 aftershock has also been reported.

United States Files False Claims Act Complaint against Community Health Network

The United States has filed a complaint against Community Health Network Inc. (Community) in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the Department of Justice announced today. Community, an integrated health care system in central Indiana, is alleged to have violated the Stark Law and thereby submitted false claims to the Medicare program.

The Stark Law prohibits a hospital from billing Medicare for services referred by a physician with whom the hospital has an improper financial relationship that does not meet any statutory or regulatory exception. The government’s complaint alleges that Community had employment relationships with a number of physicians that did not meet any Stark Law exception because the compensation Community paid to the physicians was well above fair market value and because Community conditioned paying bonuses on physicians achieving a minimum target of referral revenues to the hospital. The complaint alleges that Community received referrals from these physicians in violation of the Stark Law and submitted claims to Medicare knowing that the claims for those referred services were not eligible for payment.

“Improper financial relationships between hospitals and physicians corrupt clinical decision-making, threaten patient care, and ultimately drive up Medicare costs,” said Assistant Attorney General Jody Hunt of the Department of Justice’s Civil Division. “We are committed to eliminating these improper inducements and thereby ensuring the Medicare program remains fiscally sound to serve our nation’s senior citizens.”

FBI seeks Apple's help unlocking phones of suspected Pensacola naval station gunman

Phones thought to belong to the Saudi air force member accused in the deadly attack are password-protected.

The FBI is asking Apple Inc. to help unlock two iPhones that investigators think were owned by Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, the man believed to have carried out the shooting attack that killed three people last month at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.

In a letter sent late Monday to Apple's general counsel, the FBI said that although it has court permission to search the contents of the phones, both are password-protected. "Investigators are actively engaging in efforts to 'guess' the relevant passcodes but so far have been unsuccessful," it said.
