Re: Notables #9907 | Virginia Indoor Shooting Ranges

In 2020 the Virginia Legislature will consider HRB 567 among many others. Anons have been parroting an article all day from a website that omits material facts to push muh guns agenda.

I am a firm supporter of the 2A and do not support this bill, but the bill is NOT being accurately reported by these hacks at lawenforcementtoday.com and the anons parroting this BS. Sauce below for consideration

^ This bullshit has been copied and pasted several breads and appears to have made notables with a fear-mongering "Muh Guns" title

Anons are just copypasta-ing the article from Law enforcement today without actually fact checking against VA HRB 567, the sky is NOT falling. The bill is garbage, I agree but there is an exception in the bill that means most to all civilian ranges will remain open and do not need to be owned or leased by the Commonwealth.

The Bill can be found at…

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

  1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 3 of Chapter 12 of Title 18.2 a section numbered 18.2-511.2 as follows:

§ 18.2-511.2. Indoor shooting ranges; prohibited in private buildings; exceptions; penalty….

B. It is unlawful to operate an indoor shooting range in any building not owned or leased by the Commonwealth or the federal government unless (i) fewer than 50 employees work in the building or (ii) (a) at least 90

→ See that "unless" clause? That is what lawenforcementfags.com conveniently omitted from the article

→ Keep in mind this bill is up for debate

→ The real question is what the legislature is trying to address with this bill. Why <50 employees in the building? Why are ranges with less than 50 employees in the building exempted? Most ranges I go to are small shops and would automatically be exempted.

→ What problem does this solve? Does the legislature want to restrict large, mega-ranges with a bunch of employees carrying guns? Is this an attempt to slowly erode gun owners rights? Today the exemption is for shops with <50 employees in the building….. next time <10?

There could be fuckery afoot and I'm not for the bill at all, but this incomplete reporting and "muh guns, muh guns" shit is no different than bullshit MSM scare tactics.

"Muh Communism in Virginia" bullshit headlines without accurately representing the contents of the bill sidetracks from the bigger questions that should be asked. Why the exemptions?

That's funny, a search of the FBI website reveals no agency statements regarding QAnon. They must be referring to that Phoenix FBI Agency Memorandum the MSM was jerking off to last year.

100% agree. Further review by anons appreciated. There are several unless conditions, (i) OR (ii) with (a) or (b) AND (c) conditions attached to ii. I called attention to i b/c IMO (i) will exempt most shops. (ii) comes into play with +50 employees in the building AND includes the data sucking option where all info is captured.

Yep. +1 can confirm. Schools will close at the threat of snow 2 days out. Milk and bread out of grocery stores. No joke.

Meanwhile in Buffalo snow is plowed 14' high and kids better be in their classroom and seat by the time the bell rings.
