Just what "super precise rockets" are you talking about? The V-1s and V-2s were just pointed towards England, with no guarantees they'd come close to their hoped-for targets.
As for why they used V-1s and V-2s, they were trying to scare the crap out of the Brits so they'd drop out of the war.
