Trump was caught in a dilemma with the omnibus bill. The bill was crafted by his enemies in congress to skewer him between two bad decisions.

He could either:

1) Veto the bill and lose the funding for the military and go into a government shutdown.

OR

2) Sign the bill and face severe political backlash.

He obviously calculated that taking a hit to his poll numbers was more prudent than failing to pass the budget. Unfortunately the over-simplified one-dimensional analysis of this decision prevents people from seeing the massive ramifications of either decision. If we believe the even a fraction of the information on this board is true, a few months of pork barrel demonrat money laundering isn't a critical issue in the bigger picture.

But because we have all been dumbed down to think in an uncritical, reactionary manner, we get trapped in the media's frame. MSM would like us to believe that Trump could have vetoed this bill with very little ramifications, and Trump is now a "traitor."

In reality, his enemies caught him in a brilliant political trap…
