I hardly ever remember my dreams and when I do, they have been disturbing. But I had a dream a few months back that was lovely.. I dreamt I was driving up a dirt road to a local farm where I was going to purchase some meat. (That part was logical b/c I had been pulling together enough money to buy a half a pig that i buy every fall from a local farmer.) Anyhow…I was driving my truck up a dirt road with my dog. I could see the farmhouse and the barn in the distance. As I turned a bend in the road, all of a sudden HUNDREDS of little puppies came running out of the pasture to greet us. They were all the same breed and were obviously delighted to see us, wagging their tails and jumping around. I was thrilled to see them, too, , and so was my dog. I stopped the truck and opened both doors and they all started climbing in and swarming us with puppy kisses and tail waggin'. I remember thinking there were so many puppies, surely I could steal just one; the owner would never know. But as soon as I had that sneaky thought, my higher self/conscience said, no, you can't steal a puppy, that would be terrible karma (or in that case, dogma, lol) and instead I should ask the owner if I could buy one. Then I woke up. As I said, it was a lovely dream.
So since then I've done a lot of thinking and a bit of researching and I came to the realization that I haven't been so happy as in that dream. So I called the breeder from whom I bought my current dog and told him I want to buy a female and I want to breed her w/my dog and I am thinking to become a breeder, maybe one or two litters a year. And the breeder said he didn't think I was crazy at all and no, my dog is not too old to sire a litter or two. So in the spring some time we're going to set up a mate date and from there I'm gonna get a pup or two or nine, kek. Point is: I'm almost 60 years old and I am going to take that one lovely dream I had and pursue my dream to reality. I can't think of anything that would make me or my dog any happier than being surrounded by pic-related.
