Grandpa discovers that the emerald ring Marilyn is wearing is the cursed Fregosi Emerald. He also discovers the curse can only be removed by a living member of the Fregosi family, the last of which lives in Detroit and is the CEO of Amalgamated Motors, a practicing wizard.
