Police and the Cumberland County coroner were called to the report of a helicopter crash Thursday night.

The aircraft came down in the area of Irongate Court and Mulberry Drive in Silver Spring Township.

Residents began calling police around 8:30 p.m., reporting that they heard a loud crash and that they saw pieces of an aircraft scattered across their yard.
