Maybe put the text so it's not directly over his face? Good point though.

Thank you, I had successfully forgotten about that, thankfully until now. She was ridiculous.

>My problem is that he claims to be America First, but only brags about specific groups. He doesn't care that certain demographics are falling behind.
I understand his focusing on the better situation of some groups. I also understand why he CANNOT tout the situation about one other group, specifically White Americans - he's already got the smear of raaaayciss, dog whistle, blah, blah, but that does not mean he doesn't know or doesn't care.
For looking at your comments together, it's clear that you are very down, dejected and a bit hopeless at the moment.
What I can say is that even though at this point you are not seeing what you want or expect, that doesn't mean that those issues are not important and nothing is being done about them. There are absolutely. But there is only so much 'face time' (interview) available, and there is no one in the administration who is able, realistically to address these issues as specifically White issues. That is just not politically feasible, and it's not reasonable to expect that. You are aware of the situation and why it is the way it is, who owns the media etc, and you know why it can't be addressed that way. It sucks but that is the situation now. And that is the situation that has to change so it can be addressed in the way you would like or need to see it covered or phrased.
All good points.
The most important is to know your audience, where they are (how much they know, interest, research background level, intelligence, etc.) and GENTLY plant seeds rather than metaphorically strap them down and force feed the ultimate red pills.
There really is something to gently planting seeds, stepping away (dropping the topic) and moving on, later watering that seed, planting another, etc.
In public speaking, you are so right - composure, presentation and manner is important. If you're wearing a suit you get service at a different level than when you're wearing shorts and flip flops. That may be shitty but it's reality. To be a commanding or authoritative presence, presentation is important.
When I talk to rednecks, it's really the same thing - if I am wearing a suit the interaction is different, but if I look like a normal person the reception is as an equal and the receptions is different (former may be perceived as an outsider, possibly condescending, latter is as a fellow who has something to share). Don't underestimate people, regardless what they look like. Many rednecks are smarter than coastal elite can even imagine - they are good people too.
→ Fluid, adaptable and always with confidence and thoughts organized.
And organized thoughts are absolutely vital - rambling, all over the place diatribe causes mental walls to slam shut tight and immediately reject the topic in the future. Short, organized and according to the person's level is very effective. Gently planting those seeds and watering the ones previously planted and sprouting.
> I'm asking for him to stop playing the identity politics game altogether. That's what the ran on. That's what his base wants.
That is all well and good and correct.
>If the racists of other races won't vote for him for that? Well then fuck them right?
That is naive and unrealistic.
Those people need to be rest to 0, the center line, the spell has to be broken, they have to understand that they've been used and abused by the Ds all this time who do not care about them at all. Those people are AMERCIANS. So when POTUS touts how they are flourishing now under his policies, guess what that is?
AMERICA FIRST
There is a lot that needs to be fixed here and while we're not where we - you or I- want us to be, a lot has already changed.
POTUS does have to swim in the stream he jumped into (politics, D.C.) he is swimming a stoke no one has ever seen (his own playbook) which is mystifying for others and you and I sometimes, even though we're more clued-in than they are.
Hang in there.
>him claiming that we need even more foreigners to come here and completely take over our tech industry
I was listening live and that is not what he said. That is what Laura kept implying and trying to put on him, but while his answer was clumsy and she kept interrupting him, it was not that "we need more foreigners to come here and take over American tech industry".
