‘Are These Dirty Cops Going to Pay the Price?’ – Trump Calls Out FBI Director Wray For Weak Response to FISA Abuse and Illegal Spying

President Trump called out FBI Director Christopher Wray on Saturday morning for his weak response to FISA abuse and the illegal spying on Trump’s 2016 campaign.

FBI Director Chris Wray announced that the FBI’s response to the agency’s FISA Abuse and the criminal spying on the Trump campaign will result in extra training.

He sent out out a training video.

And no one will be disciplined for the criminal acts.

This is unacceptable!

President Trump called out Wray and asked him if any of the “dirty cops” are going to pay the price for the fraud they committed.

TRUMP: “FBI Director apologizes for FISA Errors (of which there were far to many to be a coincidence!).” @FoxNews Chris, what about all of the lives that were ruined because of the so-called “errors?” Are these “dirty cops” going to pay a big price for the fraud they committed?

Even worse, Judge Boasberg, the presiding FISA judge who was appointed by Obama announced in an order that he has appointed Obama-era national security leader at the DOJ David S. Kris as amicus counsel to review the reforms the FBI will be making to its FISA application process.

Here’s a few tweets from David Kris where he defending the illegal spying on Trump’s campaign and called the Deep State coup a ‘conspiracy theory.’

Detroit homeowners overtaxed $600 million

Detroit overtaxed homeowners by at least $600 million after it failed to accurately bring down property values in the years following the Great Recession, according to an investigation by The Detroit News.

City Hall completed a state-ordered reappraisal of every residential property in 2017 to correct the problem, but the pain of its past mistakes remains with thousands who today face foreclosure over back taxes.

Of the more than 63,000 Detroit homes with delinquent debt as of last fall, more than 90% were overtaxed—by an average of at least $3,700—between 2010 and 2016, according to calculations by The News. The debt owed on about 40,000 of those homes is less than the properties were overtaxed over those seven years.

The inflated bills have been an added burden to homeowners in the poorest big city in the nation, and call into question a tax system that has foreclosed on a third of city properties since 2008.

Detroiter Anna Bolden knew something was wrong with her tax bill after she said she bought her west side brick bungalow in a tax foreclosure auction for $4,800 in 2011. That year her bill was $2,600, with the city taxing her as if the house was worth $57,000.

"My taxes shouldn’t be this high," the 55-year-old first-time homeowner remembers thinking when getting her bills, "My house was only $5,000, why am I paying this money?"

A year later assessors valued it at $52,000, followed by $45,500 and $36,000 before the city finally lowered it to about $28,000 in 2017, after the reappraisal.

Meanwhile, according to the property data company ATTOM, the median home sale prices in Bolden’s ZIP code were rising during the same time period, indicating the city's reductions likely were the correction of an inflated value.

"I went down (to city and county offices) to ask questions, but it’s like everybody is giving you the runaround," she said. "It makes you feel like they are cheating you … but what can you do?"

The News analysis, which was completed with help from Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting, is the first to estimate how much Detroit homeowners were overbilled. It indicates that Bolden's house was overtaxed by at least $4,100 between 2010 and 2016. She owes the Wayne County Treasurer about $4,600 in back taxes and worries she could lose it to foreclosure.

Body Cam Released of Cop Killing 14yo Boy for Running Away with Orange-Tipped Toy Gun

Phoenix, AZ — Police in Arizona have just released the full dramatic body camera footage from when an officer shot and killed a 14-year-old boy who had attempted to escape on foot while holding a toy gun with a visibly orange tip. For the first time, we are now seeing the full situation of what happened when Officer Joseph Jaen opened fire on Antonio Arce, killing him.

This week, the Tempe Police Department released the video among a slew of other documents, 911 calls and personnel files on officer Jaen. The files and the video were released only after the family and the media made numerous requests. Still, the department waited almost a full year after Arce’s death to release it.

The files reveal a history of excessive force dating back to 2013. In total, this officer, who shot and killed a child holding a toy gun with an orange tip, had 19 separate incidents — not including the investigation for killing Arce — in his record.

As Arce’s family still mourns the loss of their child, this cop with a history of excessive force was granted an early retirement with full benefits for the rest of his life.

Last week, Jean was awarded accidental disability retirement. In a unanimous vote on Thursday, the Tempe Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Board granted former officer Joseph Jaen’s request for accidental disability. Jaen submitted the request back in June of 2019, AZ Family reported.

As we reported at the time, the Tempe Police Department officer, known only by his surname, Jaen, was responding to reports of a burglarized car in an alleyway of the Phoenix suburb last January when he encountered the teen.

The body camera footage shows Officer Jaen encountering a grey pick-up truck, taking cover behind a trash can after noticing Arce was still present in the vehicle. After Jaen shouts “hey” to the suspect, Arce flees holding what authorities said appears to be a handgun. In reality, however, it was a legal airsoft gun with a visible orange tip.

As Arce approaches the end of the alley, Jaen fires two shots, hitting the teenager once in the shoulder while the second shot hits a wall at the end of the alley.

“He’s got a handgun,” Jaen is heard saying on his radio as he continues his pursuit.

Eventually, Arce can no longer run and collapses at the end of the alley. Instead of rendering aid to the dying child he just shot, Jaen initiates a several minutes long standoff with him because he couldn’t respond to the officer’s commands.

Once other officers arrived, Jaen realized what he had done.

“F–k man, he’s just a f–king kid. It’s a f–king toy gun,” Jaen is heard on his body camera saying minutes after the Jan. 15, 2018 shooting.

Clearly misjudging the situation, Jaen’s body camera recorded the officer claiming the small boy, holding an orange tipped toy gun was a man in his 40’s.

During questioning with his lawyer present after the shooting, Jaen appeared to know that he messed up.

“In describing his first realization that the gun the subject was carrying was possibly a toy gun since it had an orange tip, (officer) Jaen had difficulty speaking further until he finally stated, ‘it was like why?'” according to the police report.

As AZ Central reports, the police report also says that Arce’s mother, Sandra Gonzalez, had called 911 to get help in finding her son. She had called police because she didn’t know where her son was and he wasn’t picking up his cell phone when she called it, she has previously said.

She even told police that her son would likely run if he saw police, because they make him nervous.

Gonzalez “described him as having a nervous tick,” the police report says. “Furthermore, she stated that if he were to see the police, he would get nervous. Additionally, if the police tell him to stop, he would not stop due to being nervous.”

After killing Arce, officer Jaen was placed on administrative leave pending the criminal and internal investigations. Despite the fact that the investigations are still underway, Jaen was allowed to retire in May and was just granted full benefits last week.

Questions around the shooting have focused on the distance at which the teenager was shot by Jaen and the risk he posed while fleeing—which happened to be none.

Speaking on behalf of the family of the deceased, attorney Danny Ortega said: “It was a long distance. How this young man could have presented a threat at that far a distance is a question that needs to be asked.”

Indeed.

Shadowy Liberal Group Began Investigating Trump-Ukraine Months Before the ‘Whistleblower’ Complaint

Months before a whistleblower complaint that would spark the Democrat effort for impeachment, a shadowy liberal group founded and staffed by Obama administration alums and former Democrat congressional staffers launched an outside investigation into whether President Trump’s allies were seeking “foreign interference” from Ukraine in the 2020 elections.

The group, American Oversight, began investigating the issue in May — more than two months before the “whistleblower” filed a complaint alleging Trump was “using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country to investigate one of the President’s main domestic political rivals.”

The group’s purpose is to file Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits requesting official documents from the administration that could be used to bolster Democrat congressional investigations, and its actions on Ukraine show Congress began looking for Ukraine-related dirt on the administration before the “whistleblower” filed his complaint that catalyzed impeachment.

American Oversight claims to be the top “Freedom of Information Act litigator investigating the Trump administration.”

In anticipation of Democrats winning back the House in 2018, it launched a “Parallel Investigations Initiative” in April to reinforce congressional investigations of the Trump administration. It said in a statement:

Today, American Oversight announces the Parallel Investigations Initiative to lay the groundwork for this potential surge in congressional oversight activity. We have begun proactively tracking oversight requests made by both the chairs and ranking members of key congressional committees and, in many cases, we’ve already submitted parallel FOIA requests for the same information.

The Trump administration won’t know what hit them. Independent FOIA litigation paired with aggressive congressional oversight creates a nightmare for federal agencies because of the different levers litigants and members of Congress can pull to enforce their demands.

The group was founded in March 2017 by Austin Evers, a former senior counsel during the Obama State Department, to counter the Trump administration using FOIA. Evers said in a June 2018 interview:

I was quite troubled by the election of Donald Trump and his posture toward towards public service as a private enterprise, and I was also concerned that there didn’t seem to be any transparency watchdogs that planned to be antagonistic toward the administration. We had faced such high profile and aggressive litigation during the last administration that I wanted to model to make sure that this administration was held accountable.

Small-Scale Traders in India Plan Protests Against Amazon Founder Bezos Across 300 cities

Thousands of traders in India are planning protests against Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who will visit the country next week for a company event, which might include meetings with government officials.

Three sources told Reuters that Bezos will visit New Delhi for an Amazon event aiming to connect with small and medium-sized enterprises, three sources told Reuters. He is also seeking a meeting with the prime minister and other government officials to discuss e-commerce, one of the sources familiar with the matter said.

The details of Bezos’ visit, including his arrival date and the duration of his stay, still haven’t been officially announced.

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), representing roughly 70 million brick-and-mortar retailers, said it will protest across 300 cities during Bezos’ stay in the country, as the group has been in a legal battle against online retailers Amazon and Walmart-controlled Flipkart, accusing them of flouting India’s foreign investment rules with their trade practices.

“We plan to organize peaceful rallies against Jeff Bezos in all major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata as well as smaller towns and cities,” Praveen Khandelwal, the group’s secretary-general told Reuters. “We expect to mobilize at least 100,000 traders in the protests.”

India is a key market for US internet retailers Amazon and Walmart, as it has a population of 1.3 billion and the world’s second-biggest smartphone user base. Discounts on their platforms have induced Indians to shop online for everything from groceries to large electronic devices - one of the reasons local Indian traders believe it has unfairly hurt their business. New Delhi introduced rules last year to protect nearly 130 million people dependent on small-scale retail by deterring large online discounts, forcing e-commerce firms to change their business structures.

Iran welcomes global cooperation on plane crash investigation: President Rouhani

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says the Islamic Republic welcomes any cooperation in the framework of international regulations to shed more light on a Ukrainian passenger plane crash near Tehran, adding that the country will provide all necessary consular facilities in this regard.

"Useful research has been carried out to find the causes of this crash and complementary investigations are also underway with precision and speed to reach a final concussion," Rouhani said in a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Saturday.

All 176 people on the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) Boeing 737-800 died in the crash on Wednesday just after take-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport on a flight to Kiev.

The Iranian president said the crash was a "heartfelt and tragic" incident for Iranians and Canadians as well as all those whose citizens were on board the plane.

Rouhani stated that Iran has made its utmost efforts since the very first moments to find the reasons behind the crash and would inform the world public opinion about any further results.

He emphasized that he has given all necessary orders to relevant authorities and bodies to continue with technical and legal investigations.

"I am keen that the two countries' relations will continue in the future in order to help [improve] welfare of Iranians residing in Canada and to serve the two nations in different issues of mutual interest, including the promotion of regional peace and security," the Iranian president said.

On Saturday, Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces put out a statement saying the Ukrainian plane was shot down “unintentionally” due to “human error” and that those guilty would be brought to military justice.

We accept full responsibility for Ukrainian plane crash: IRGC Aerospace chief

Head of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has accepted full responsibility for the downing of a Ukraine aircraft which crashed near the capital Tehran earlier this week.

Speaking on Saturday, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said he had “wished he could die” after being informed of the matter on the same day the crash took place on Wednesday.

Hajizadeh said he had notified related authorities immediately but that public announcement of the matter was pending an investigation of Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces as required by existing procedures.

“Neither the IRGC nor the Armed Forces never intended to cover up, but this was a process that had to be perused,” he said, adding that concerned individuals had been quarantined.

He added that further judgment on the matter was the responsibility of the higher authorities and the judiciary and that “we will comply with any decision taken by them”.

The remarks come after Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces put out a statement saying the Ukrainian plane was shot down “unintentionally” due to “human error” earlier on Saturday.

The statement added that those found guilty would be brought to military justice.

The incident happened as Iran had “raised the sensitivity” of its air defenses due to increased hostile American aerial activity which came after “threats by the criminal American president and military commanders" to hit Iranian targets, the statement read.

All 176 crew members and passengers, 147 of whom were Iranians, died in the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) crash which came a few minutes after take-off from Tehran to Kiev on Wednesday.

‘Our system detected a cruise missile’

Detailing the events which led to the tragic incident, Hajizadeh said the country’s air defense networks had been put on the “highest level of readiness” and alerted to a possible cruise missile attack prior to the incident.

The IRGC aerospace chief added that the operator manning the system had repeatedly called for a halt in flights in the region during the night.

He added that the operator then identified what his air defense system had detected as an incoming cruise missile 19 kilometers away.

The operator, as required by military guidelines then proceeded to call for orders to deal with the perceived threat, but wasn’t able to do so as his communication network failed to work.

Hajizadeh added that the operator then “took the wrong decision” of firing on the perceived threat in a “ten-second” time span to shoot or ignore the flying object.

The aerospace chief added that Iran’s aviation authorities had no information regarding the matter and that they, along with the plane’s crew, had conducted no wrongdoing in the incident.

Hajizadeh also said the General Staff of the Armed Forces’s Friday statement regarding the matter was released after it was established that certain parties were guilty over the incident.

Netanyahu asks friendly countries to say ICC has no jurisdiction over Israel

Hungary joins nations openly opposing ICC plan to probe Israel for alleged war crimes

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent letters to leaders of friendly states asking for help defending Israel against an International Criminal Court probe of alleged war crimes by saying the court has no jurisdiction in Israel, the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed Saturday night.

The US, Australia and – as of Saturday – Hungary have all expressed opposition to the ICC involving itself in a case about Israel and the Palestinians, which is not party to the Rome Statute that established the court.

“Following the outrageous decision by the ICC prosecutor, Israel has reached out to several countries,” a government source said. “Many of them have said that they do not agree to the ICC’s assault on the principle of national sovereignty, and the ICC has no jurisdiction in the case at hand.”

The Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó responded to Netanyahu’s call in a letter to his Israeli counterpart, Israel Katz.

“We fully understand your concerns, since the Hungarian Government has always highly appreciated the principle and value of national sovereignty,” Szijjártó wrote. “Thus, we believe that your position with regard to the lack of jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in the given case is justified.”

Szijjártó compared the situation to Hungary’s disputes with the EU and the UN over authority.

Katz thanked Szijjártó and said that he appreciates Hungary’s stance, which he said is “consistent with the values of justice and the excellent relations between the countries.”

Katz also expressed appreciation for Israeli diplomats fighting the ICC’s decision to investigate Israel.

Last month, ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda announced that she believes Israel is committing war crimes in the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza and would investigate the matter. She asked the ICC’s pre-trial chamber to determine whether the court has the jurisdiction to hear the case against Israel, in light of the special circumstances of the territory in question.

The Palestinian Authority is a member of the ICC since 2015.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo argued on twitter that “Israel is not a state party to the ICC.”

“We firmly oppose this unjustified inquiry that unfairly targets Israel,” Pompeo wrote. “The path to lasting peace is through direct negotiations.”

Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said it is “concerned” about Bensouda’s proposal, and said that it does not see the Palestinians as party to the Rome Statute because it does not recognize a Palestinian state.

Germany took a more equivocal stance, warning against politicization of the ICC and saying its judges should “address issues of admissibility.”

Syrian Warplanes Rain Hell On HTS Security Zone In Idlib City Ahead Of New Ceasefire (Photos, Videos)

Warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) carried out on January 11 morning a series of airstrikes on Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) so-called “security zone” in Idlib’s city center.

The airstrikes came ahead of a new ceasefire that’s set to become active at today’s midnight. The ceasefire, which will cover all of Greater Idlib, was brokered by Russia and Turkey.

The Syrian airstrikes were likely a response to the recent provocations by HTS and its allies. The terrorist groups stepped up their rocket and anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) attacks on Syrian troops around Greater Idlib after the announcement of the new ceasefire.
