A Florida man who was arrested last October now faces 90 days in jail after pleading no contest to battery charges from when he spat on another Florida man who was wearing a pro-Trump MAGA hat.

Matthias Ajple, 43, made the plea and was found guilty and sentenced Thursday to 90 days in the Indian River County Jail as well as to have no further contact with the victim and pay the victim $155 plus probation , according to the report from Newsweek.

The October incident took place at a Hurricane Grill in Vero Beach on Oct. 25, according to the arrest affidavit. Ajple approached 67-year-old Robert Youngblood and told him “You should go back to Russia you f*cking communist," according to Newsweek.

The arrest report said Ajple hit the brim of Youngblood’s hat and spat on him. The restaurant provided surveillance footage and was able to arrest Ajple later.
