Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - Crossfire (Live From Austin, TX)
Well, I don't know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
Trying to make some sense of it all
But I can see it makes no sense at all
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor?
Well, I don't think I can take anymore
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you

‘Cautious optimism’: Northern Ireland’s government restored after 3-year deadlock
Northern Ireland's government reopened for the first time in three years on Saturday after rival parties rallied around a new power-sharing deal aimed at helping the province face the challenges of Brexit.
The new deal, entitled “New Decade New Approach”, was published by the Irish Deputy Prime Minister Simon Coveney and by the Northern Ireland Secretary Julian Smith on January 9.
On Saturday January 10, politicians gathered in the parliamentary buildings in Stormont, Belfast, to choose a new Executive.
Irish & UK Govts have tonight published deal that can be basis for re-establishment of a NI Assembly. I appeal to political leaders in NI to take this opportunity and get #Stomont working again. https://t.co/2lhrfkzkqZ

Light Field Labs : 3D Holograms no glasses Deep Dive
Posted by Mike Seymour ON February 1, 2018
Last year at NAB conference, Light Field Labs announced their plans to make a Holographic monitor. If it had not been for the names of the founders and their work at Lytro, such a press release would be easy to dismiss. The word hologram gets tossed around quite a lot, but this team seemed incredibly qualified to actually deliver. Light Field Labs was founded in 2017 by Jon Karafin, Brendan Bevensee, and Ed Ibe. Three exceptionally qualified serious light field experts. Karafin came from Digital Domain, Bevensee has a PhD in Particle physics (he worked on the Hadron Collider) and Ibe’s track record goes back to IBM and is marked by a strong mechanical engineering background. All three men were in the leadership team behind the Lytro Cinema Technology, and in particular the professional high end Cinema camera and capture system. The Lytro Cinema camera has 755 RAW Megapixels, runs up to 300 fps with up to an incredible 16 stops of Dynamic Range and records a whopping 400 gigabytes per second. The Light Field Lab team in the past has made both consumer and professional products and successfully delivered them to the market.

Life’s First Molecule Was Protein, Not RNA, New Model Suggests
Which mattered first at the dawn of life: proteins or nucleic acids? Proteins may have had the edge if a theorized process let them grow long enough to become self-replicating catalysts.

Ex-DOJ Official Picked To Assist FISA Reform Was Ardent Defender Of FBI’s Surveillance Of Carter Page
Former DOJ official David Kris was picked Friday to oversee the FBI’s reforms of its surveillance procedures in the wake of a damning inspector general’s report.
Kris was an ardent defender of the FBI’s surveillance of Carter Page. He was also a vocal critic of Republicans who suggested the FBI misled the surveillance court in its applications to wiretap Page.
In one essay, Kris endorsed a suggestion that Rep. Devin Nunes should face obstruction of justice charges.
Nunes told the Daily Caller News Foundation the choice of Kris is “shocking and inexplicable.”
A former Justice Department official picked Friday to oversee the FBI’s reforms of its surveillance procedures in the wake of a damning inspector general’s report was one of the many pundits during the Russia probe to defend the bureau’s surveillance of Trump campaign aide Carter Page.
David S. Kris, a former assistant attorney general for national security, was also an outspoken critic of Rep. Devin Nunes and other congressional Republicans who accused the FBI of misleading the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) in applications to wiretap Page.
