'Inspiring': Trump tweets in Farsi to speak directly to Iranian people protesting regime

President Trump sent out a tweet in Farsi telling Iranians protesting Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that he stands behind them.

“To the brave and suffering Iranian people: I have stood with you since the beginning of my presidency and my government will continue to stand with you. We are following your protests closely. Your courage is inspiring,” Trump said.

Protesters in Iran on Saturday called upon Khamenei to step down after the country admitted to shooting down a commercial airliner that contained dozens of Iranian citizens. The demonstration came a day after Iran said it “unintentionally” shot down a Ukrainian airliner and killed all 176 people on board. The crash came just hours after Iran’s military lobbed more than a dozen missiles at bases in Iraq containing U.S. troops. Among those dead in Wednesday’s crash were 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians, 11 Ukrainians, 10 Swedes, four Afghans, three Germans, and three British nationals.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky insisted on Saturday that Iran compensate the country after the downing of the plane. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canada would " not rest" until Iran was held responsible for shooting down the plane.

British ambassador detained in Iran during demonstrations

The United Kingdom accused Iran of a “flagrant violation of international law” after its ambassador to Tehran was detained as he observed a demonstration against the country’s rulers. A diplomatic source told the Washington Examiner that Rob Macaire had been detained and then released after several hours on Saturday, possibly by security officers acting without authorization. The 53-year-old was detained while observing protests at Amirkabir University, part of national demonstrations following the downing of a Ukrainian Boeing 737-800 that killed all 176 people on board. It marks the latest flashpoint between Tehran and the West, following weeks of increasing tension, the killing of Iran’s top military commander by U.S. drone, and strikes against Iraqi bases housing American troops.

The British foreign secretary confirmed the detention in a statement. "The arrest of our ambassador in Tehran without grounds or explanation is a flagrant violation of international law," said Dominic Raab. "The Iranian government is at a cross-roads moment. It can continue its march towards pariah status with all the political and economic isolation that entails, or take steps to de-escalate tensions and engage in a diplomatic path forwards.”

At about the same time, President Trump sent a message of encouragement, translated into Farsi, to protesters in Iran. “To the brave, long-suffering people of Iran: I've stood with you since the beginning of my presidency, and my administration will continue to stand with you. We are following your protests closely, and are inspired by your courage,” he wrote.

Climate experts back up Trump claim on California wildfires

President Trump might be right about land management and California wildfires, according to climate experts. Scott Stephens, a University of California, Berkeley professor of fire science, said 75% of the damage from the wildfires was because of "the way we manage lands and develop our landscape." The comments made earlier this week echo what Trump said over a year ago. "There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor," the president said. "Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!"

"Fire was almost as important as rain to ecosystems," Stephens added. Jennifer Montgomery, a director of the California Forest Management Task Force, concurred with the point. "Wildfire is not really wildfire — it’s not pointy green trees," she said. "You get these so-called wildfires at intersection of development." In 2018, California saw over 225,000 acres of land burned along with 7,000 structures destroyed when Trump blamed land management. In 2019, hundreds of thousands of people had to evacuate their homes because of the wildfires. Pacific Gas and Electric shut off power in high-wind areas to try to stop wildfires. The blackouts ended up affecting millions of residents.

'Make money and keep it classy': Harry and Meghan seeking advice from Obamas

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have allegedly been talking with Barack and Michelle Obama about how to build a successful career. ''They have found huge commercial success without actually looking like they are getting their hands dirty, to put it bluntly, and retaining their popularity," a source told the Daily Mail about the couple's fascination with the Obamas. "In fact, it is fair to say that their star has soared since leaving the White House, particularly Michelle’s, and this is something Meghan admires very, very much". The source said the Obamas are advising Harry and Meghan, and they consider each other "friends." Public relations guru Howard Bragman said the Obamas are an example for the couple of how to "make money and keep it classy."

Harry and Meghan announced Wednesday their decision to step back as senior royals. The pair signaled they want to keep their titles despite their desire to give up their royal duties. The majority of the British public wants the couple stripped of their titles and thrown off the taxpayer dime. Senior courtiers have also said there will be consequences over the pair's decision.

US to expel over a dozen Saudi trainees after review of Naval Air Station Pensacola shooting

The United States is poised to expel more than a dozen Saudi servicemen training at U.S. military installations following a review of last month's shooting at the naval air station in Pensacola, Florida. According to CNN, the trainees are not accused of aiding the shooter, a 21-year-old Saudi Air Force second lieutenant who killed three American sailors and wounded several others, but are said to have connections to extremist movements. Sources told the outlet that some are also accused of possessing child pornography.

Last month, Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, a Saudi flight student, opened fire at the naval air station before he was killed by responding law enforcement officers. Since then, about a dozen Saudi trainees at the base have been confined to their quarters while the FBI investigated the shooting as a possible terror attack and the Pentagon reviewed all Saudi military trainees in the country. The Navy also grounded around 300 Saudi military aviation students at three different bases as part of a "safety stand-down." The Department of Justice is expected to declare that the shooting was an act of terrorism, a U.S. official told CNN. No co-conspirators have been charged.

Prince William says he and brother Harry are ‘separate entities’ as Queen calls royal crisis meeting

Prince William is expressing his "sadness" that the British royal family is no longer a "team" days before the senior members of the clan are set to meet over his brother Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's sudden announcement about scaling back their roles. The Duke of Cambridge has indicated his frustration that he and Prince Harry are now "separate entities", according to The Sunday Times.

''I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that any more; we’re separate entities," the outlet reported that Prince William, 37, told a friend. "I’m sad about that. All we can do, and all I can do, is try and support them and hope that the time comes when we’re all singing from the same page. I want everyone to play on the team." The remarks come less than a week after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their intentions to "step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent." They now plan to split their time between the United Kingdom and North America.

However, the couple, who recently welcomed their first son Archie, reportedly did not notify Queen Elizabeth II, 93, of their plans before announcing them to the world, leaving the rest of the royal family shocked by the news. As a result, the queen has summoned the pair, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Charles to meet on Monday to discuss the transition options. Among the items to hash out are how much "official" work Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, will do on behalf of the government and royal family, whether or not they will keep their HRH titles and how they will be styled, and how much money they will receive from the queen once their sovereign grant public funding is cut. Angered by their decision, a new poll found that a majority of Britons want to see the duke and duchess stripped of their royal titles, and 54% of the British public think Prince Harry should "give up right" to be the sixth in line to the throne.

That's quite possible, I think it could end up that way none the less when you factor, the British people learning the truth about their Royals..once that is out in the open..They will be screaming for it to end..and all of Royalty could possibly end up being nothing more than museums. We should take note to remember that each and every Brit, paid for them to live the life they have been living. The royals worked for none of it.

Something to remember here, all of this is less about the royals..and more importantly the true freedom and removal of the shackles on the bodies of the British people…We are in this for WW freedom… So while you may not care for the royals..We all should care about the fate of the British population.
