'Regime change is in the air': US establishment seeks to capitalize on Iranian protests… again
The protests in Iran that followed Tehran's admission of its role in the downing of the Ukrainian passenger jet were met with an outpouring of support from Washington. But is it about Iranians, or regime change?
US officials and establishment figures certainly spared no effort as they went out of their way to show how much they supposedly admire the ‘courage’ of Iranians who took to the streets to vent their anger at the fact that a Ukrainian passenger jet, with many Iranians on board, was mistakenly shot down by Iran's military – something Tehran admitted of its own volition before the results of the crash investigation were made public.
However, Washington apparently decided that this tragedy, which took the lives of 176 people, is a good enough reason to remind Iranians – who are already consumed by grief – just how much they are ‘suffering’ at the hands of a supposedly ‘oppressive’ regime that, by sheer coincidence, turns out to be America's arch-rival in the region.
President Donald Trump spent the last couple of days tweeting compliments to the protesters and warnings to Tehran, both in English and in Farsi. On Sunday he demanded that Tehran "stop the killing of your great Iranian people." There are no reports of deaths during the protests over the plane downing, even though law enforcement had to deploy tear gas and water cannons against an agitated crowd on several occasions.

12 Shot, 5 Killed in Democrat-Controlled Baltimore
Twelve individuals were shot Saturday, five of them fatally, in Democrat-controlled Baltimore. CBS reports the shootings began around 2:30 a.m. and ended just before 11 p.m.
The Baltimore Sun reports five fatalities were spread over the course of the entire day, with the first coming as a result of the 2:30 a.m. shooting. The next fatality came approximately 12 hours later, then another as a result of an 8 p.m. shooting, another after an 8:18 p.m. shooting, and the fifth died in the shooting that occurred just before 11 p.m.
On December 29, 2019, Breitbart News reported Baltimore’s homicide rate broke records in 2019. This happened even though Maryland has an “assault weapons” ban, a ban on “high capacity” magazines, registration/fingerprinting requirement for handgun purchasers, and a red flag law, which allows a judge to order the confiscation of firearms from individuals deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

Syrian Air Force launches several airstrikes in eastern Syria
BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Air Force targeted groups belonging to the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) terrorist organization in the Badiya Al-Sukhnah region of eastern Syria on Sunday.
According to a military report from this region, the Syrian Air Force’s jets and attack choppers targeted the Islamic State’s positions between the towns of Al-Sukhnah and Al-Shoula.
These strikes were reportedly carried out after the Islamic State attempted to attack the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the Badiya Al-Sukhnah region on Sunday.
The Syrian Air Force does not launch many strikes in eastern Syria; however, when they do launch these attacks, it is usually because ISIS has increased their terrorist activities.

Pasco Co. resident's lawsuit leads to claims Rep. Omar was recruited, funded by Qatari government
TAMPA, Fla. - A lawsuit filed in Central Florida has triggered accusations that the government of Qatar is recruiting American politicians to serve its interests.
These accusations stem from the case of Pasco County resident Matthew Pittard, who levels some strong accusations. He worked for the brother of the emir of Qatar, whom Pittard claims was an abusive boss.
While the litigation proceeds in a Florida court, Pittard’s attorney, Rebecca Castaneda, deposed others who had interactions with the emir’s brother and Qatari officials. One of them, Canadian businessman Alan Bender, claimed senior Qatari officials asked him to recruit Americans who they could help finance into elective office, who in turn could serve the political interests of Qatar.

A Walmart Supercenter in Salem, New Hampshire, has been the first store to test a new kind of technology that will use robots to collect grocery items for online order fulfillment.
Walmart is one of the largest companies in the world by revenue, with at least 2.3 million employees in the US, has seen rapid increases in labor costs that are forcing unwanted margin compression.
The solution offered by C-suite executives has been a pilot program of automating a warehouse in Salem with the goal of deploying robots to eliminate employees and save costs.

The new robot is called Alphabot, and it’s ten times faster than a human worker – this would increase productivity in the warehouse, driving down the need for new hires during peak holiday periods when orders increase.
Alphabot operates inside a 20,000-square-foot warehouse that retrieves refrigerated and frozen items ordered for online grocery.
Once the robot completes an order, it delivers it to a workstation, where a human checks, bags, and delivers the final order.
