If the ice in your ice water melts, it doesn’t raise the water level.

 

So why would ice caps melting cause water levels to rise? Especially is the majority of their mass is already below water.

 

What I’m saying is the VOLUME of water won’t change if they melt. The worst case scenario is polar bears migrate down into norther Canada and the Tiaga forest, which would be good for the ecosystem in that the introduction of a worthy carnivore should raise the stakes for all species and make them smarter.
