Gotta say, this is all like that movie Contact. They get sent plans to make a machine to advance Human civilization, but were to blind to think outside the box.

What did the rich guy in the spaceship say, "They do, if you think like a Vegan. An alien intelligence is going to be more advanced. That means efficiency functioning on multiple levels and in multiple dimensions."

Not going to get into the alien debate, just offering a different perspective.

So how many things have we taken literal, to our extent of knowledge, when we should be thinking in different terms. Last I checked, I hadn't opened the door of doors, or been trained on secret history and all that. Got some work cut out for us if we want to build that map.
