>So, should we stop paying taxes or show up the first day of the next session of Congress and seat ourselves in the chamber?

Whatever it takes - campaigning, voting, holding your representative to account by writing letters/emails - anything except disengagement.

Wow - that takes me back to 1995 and my first Apple Mac and program for creating fractals. Still have the computer and monitor somewhere in storage, complete with Claris Works and other stuff. If I hang on to it for a bit longer it may even become an antique!

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't coming. But no way I'm sitting around waiting for something that may or may not happen.

I cannot change the past:

“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,

Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit

Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,

Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”

And I may not have a tormorrow.

So THIS is the day (today) that I am given in which to achieve.

>The complexity that arises from simple constructs like the mandelbrot set, is breath taking anon hey?

Oh yes! As a child I had a book with an illustration of a child looking in a mirror holding the book showing a child looking in a mirror holding the book showing a child looking in a mirror holding the book…

I remember squinting to see how far back I could get in the mirror of the mirror of the mirror…

Then, when I got that AppleMac and fractal program and could zoom in and zoom in some more it was like unlocking that mirror in a mirror from my childhood and just going deeper and deeper and deeper into infinity.
