This is a recurring theme. I've heard from I think @kabamur_taygeta or Cobra from 2012portal that a percentage of people living here are soulless clones, angels-heaven says most are "humatons" meaning humans with souls but closed heart chakras (unable to feel, capable only of mindless droning). Whether you are dealing with a severely 90%+ controlled human or an actual husk automaton, I don't think there's much difference.
