funny cause the rules for bail and for jailing have all been changed in NYC. It's very hard to hold anyone.

He said that a person was arrested three times for walking out of a shop with a case of beer. The fee for the public defender is 1000 $ per case, and there's three there. Paid for by the State.
Defendant wouldn't bargain so Judge assigned three "watchers" ( a new job it seems? ) - people to follow the defendant around and make sure the person appears back in Court.
The cuffs on the ankles are more expensive?
