From "To the Victors go the Myths and Monuments", Arthur Thompson, John Burch Society:

It can be done by having a small number of people promote the idea that certain organizations that are fronts of the Conspiracy are actually controlled by Jews - that it is a Jewish conspiracy. Just as blaming Masons turns off American Masons, this immediately turns off the Jewish Community and stops them from joining in any anti-conspiratorial battle. Not only that, Jewish people have a tendency to help those who appear to be the detractors of such anti-conspirators, giving the detractors more influence because they appear to be on the side of the Jewish community.

It has become standard to identify as anti-Semites all those who profess these same organizations are part of the problem. Even if they do not believe or state that these organization are run by Jews.

….

….

This, more than than anything else is the reason most anti-Semitic organizations exist today: to throw enough mud around to prevent the success of good people trying to educate their fellow citizens about a conspiracy; to take the focus off the real problem and dump it on innocent people. And to build anti-Semitism among others who only want to stop the problems they see manifested in their own country…..

Jews almost always suffer under the boot of conspiratorial success.

Perhaps the most notable writer on conspiracies with the greatest number of books circulated in her time was Nesta Webster, just after the turn of the 20th century. She fell into the trap of believing in a jewish conspiracy for a time until her research told her that it was not correct. She discovered that the conspiracy used Jews as agents out front during the Napoleonic period to put the heat on them rather than on the true source of revolution. She later published a clarification of this mistaken view in her late edition of "World Revolution"
