I am not really sure, though. It seems a bit dramatic and I would argue could only be done after re-election. Maybe.

There are several other factors that remain in the air - one of them very new.

The big white elephant in the foreign cell is Assange. And I hope he is secured by aliens or someone who can't be convinced to take a nap. Even so - the information sword of damocles he has is worth keeping in mind.

There are numerous investigations ongoing that aren't receiving much coverage - it's hard to track without being in DC and having several eyes and ears to focus on specifics - but there's a moby dick about to pound the shit out of someone.

The other thing we are forgetting about is foreign activity. Russia just decided to release their records related to World War 2. As that war literally drew today's political map, I can only imagine there will be interesting goodies in there. Learn russian.

All of these can spark or ignite major legal and political fallout - and Russia is just one country and in relation to one conflict. There are many other nations who could decide to follow suit with other conflicts. Together you are strong.

Agreed, at least according to my understanding. I suspected we would see the republicans in the Senate somehow go for impeachment - but exactly who and how they will try to justify that to the public is an absolute mystery to me.

Perhaps there will be an acquittal but POTUS will challenge the acquittal as not being valid (the whole idea that President Trump would effectively get a free term - except POTUS arguing he shouldn't have been impeached and therefore shouldn't get an additional term as a phony impeachment and acquittal could be abused to keep a President seated)…. Actually, I like that idea a lot better….
