this story was first reported over a year ago and is such bullshit. neutrinos have such a small mass once thought to be zero that they pretty much pass through matter unimpeded and undetected. pic related is an underground "neutrino detector". its deep underground to prevent interference from other forms of radiation. its absolutely massive and very technically difficult to operate. millions of dollars and countless man hours have been devoted to such experiments and they still only detect a few neutrinos a year. the thought that scientists are detecting neutrinos with an itty bitty above ground antenna is fucking laughable.
