DHS briefs Kansas lawmakers on business, agriculture threats
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) โ Foreign governments are trying to get proprietary information about Kansas business and agricultural assets, state legislators heard Tuesday in extraordinary, secret briefings with a U.S. Department of Homeland Security official, according to participants.
Lawmakers who attended one of the unclassified briefings also said they were warned to be careful about opening emails from foreign sources. But they also said they did not hear about immediate threats.
โWe need to be careful in responding to people because everyoneโs looking for an in, some way, somehow,โ said state Rep. Jim Gartner, a Topeka Democrat who attended the first briefing. โThat was the gist of it.โ
The briefing Tuesday came less than five months after a federal indictment charged a University of Kansas associate professor of secretly working for a Chinese university while doing research in Kansas on projects funded by the U.S. government. The professor contends that a visiting scholar fabricated the allegations, and is trying to get the criminal charges dismissed.

Guess by then they'll have all the Operation Paperclip II folks up to speed.
Daily Reminder Q tipped this guy off about the meeting.
Daily Reminder there's no statute of limitations on murdering SCOTUS justices.
Panic harder, you pussy ass governer.
Biblefag here, constantly responding to posts about Jesus from shills.
It's all about priorities.
Great line from the movie "Ronin": "If there's a doubt, there is no doubt."
Well done.
Nah. All lies from the pit of hell. Lean across your cubicle and tell him he's ineffective.
Was he now?
Nah.
People love creative stories, and if something is a complete lie, like say a movie, they still love it. Even though there is no truth in it whatsoever.
The light came into the world, but the world rejected it, because the world preferred the darkness.
Thus, the world is condemned, and all who live upon it, but for the redeemed of God.
Ceteris paribus, the man who thinks he is ultimately accountable to his creator for all of his words, thoughts, and deeds, strives to act in more of a godly manner than one who does not.
Sure.
Common usages of the Christ, the Son of the Living God, terms Yehoshua, Jesus, as The Christ. People naming their dog Christ doesn't change that.
Satan means "Adversary" and does not uniquely apply to just the one being most commonly called Satan/Devil/Serpent/Great Dragon.
Common useage, when people say Christ, they mean Jesus, and when they say Satan, they mean the devil.
Your list of oddities notwithstanding, of course.
Jesus never told you to do that.
No Christian ever told you to do that.
Nobody ever told you to do that.
Maybe stop lying.
None of my brothers/sisters in Christ will ever "sniff me out" as anything but their brother in Christ.
Nor will they ever mistake you for a born again Christian.
