This is a tiny minority of people who are being magnified by the media. They were running into problems with using Antifa (funding and the promise of being gibbed - antifa is run by prior spec ops/counter Intel guys) and decided to switch tactics. Students are a captive audience and have different funding structures in place. Given that schools have been suspending kids for refusing to participate in these demonstrations, it is becoming plainly clear to many just how fanatical these groups have become.
