Subtle propaganda or Meme Magic?

Today I learned that Judge Judy changed her haircut after 22 years to a 'do that resembles RBG. That's not an exaggeration; the media reports about this were very quick to make RBG comparisons. For whatever reason, they want millions of Judge Judy viewers to be reminded of RBG every day. Maybe it's as simple as they want RBG and the Supreme Court on the minds of Judge Judy's millions of viewers during Presidential election season. But I can't help but wonder if there's some memetic magic behind this. Maybe millions of people seeing "RBG" every day working in a courtroom helps keep the real RBG alive somehow.
