I'm not trusting the CNN report. According to the first report I saw earlier, they bought an 80% lower and finished it (entirely legal outside of Kalifornistan), giving ONE semi-automatic firearm between three guys.

Seriously … what do they do? Take turns?

No mention of ammunition in the first post, but 1,000 rounds is not a lot of ammunition to have on hand

Pretty good price on the green tip – 32 cents / cartridge. If I still owned ARs in that caliber, I'd be tempted to load up.

[I just tossed the second link in there for the fun of it! ;-)]

Ammunition goes fast. Click-boom-gone forever. When you find it on sale, you stock up.

Body armor is legal in all but the repressive states.

Ammunition in any amount is legal (subject to fire code storage restrictions).

Machine guns are legal*.

How do you arrest three men for complying with the law?

*It's a long, expensive, process to buy one, but still – 100% legal and they are only available to folks who can pass a pretty stiff background check.
