Shades of the Toyota Prius sudden acceleration controversy of many years ago. Floor mats? Yeah right! I was always of the opinion that there was some RF interference problem glitching out the electronics. Went to a contact who worked for a national auto salvage chain and tried to get my hands on an accelerator pedal assembly for testing. Never could get my hands on one. Wonder why Those big electric motors can generate a lot of RF noise guise. Shielding is critical.
