the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

A debate could be made as to whether the intentions of the people gathering in Virginia intend to "peacefully assemble." But don't let us be fooled into the Soros driven narrative that the first amendment ends and begins in street gatherings, marches, and rallies.

You can also exercise your 1st amendment rights by petitioning your government. I.E. political action through letters to officials, campaign donations, becoming a candidate, or questioning the constitutionally of a law through legal means such as going to court. Going into the street and screaming slogans isn't the only avenue towards change.
