There are hundreds of gateways / IPs on tor. Depending on which one you pick up your mileage may vary. You could be on an IP that was banned /blocked previously, already had a captcha associated. Its is wise to keep an eye on what gateways you are using ingress and egress..some may be good… some not so good. There are lists out there with gateway host providers and ratings. Network tools help identify the IP you are using for reference.
