I remember reading years ago how the government and railroad would have men dress up like Indians and attack, murder and kill the farmers on property they wanted. This in-turn made Americans cry for justice. The Government would step in and wipe out the locale Indian tribes and accomplish 3 goals at once. Make the people think the government was keeping them safe, Then they would acquire the land from the farmers that were murdered plus the Indian land. Now the railroad could be built and the government could grow more powerful with the will off the people behind it. They've used this trick for hundreds of years to get what they want. Think same thing except instead of land it's guns this time.
