Depends on the trade. I personall am a self employed Mason. I do all sorts of masonry work such as brick,block,stone and concrete. Being versitile allows me to have a variety of work and keeps me well busy. Id offer to you a thought of deversifying skills.
Both my father and step father worked for unions and were screwed over. Ive been in business for myself 30yrs and would never have need for a union. Take care of employees and they come back. But then I am a 1Anon owner and do all my own work for all these years. Makes life comfy
