4-Methyl Amino Rex (4-MAR) otherwise known as "U4Euh"

Back in the late 90's, the MEDIA hyped it up as the new METH, but in reality 4-MAR was mainly sought after by professional writers and those in Law School as a very useful tool when writing or working on long complex projects. IMHO, it was the drug that the movie "Limitless" was actually based on, but without the extreme long-term toxicity portrayed in the movie.

After its OTC precursor, PPA was banned by the FDA in the early 2000's, it became extremely difficult to source, mainly because the synthesis of PPA is difficult (the racemate tends to polymerize and you need the trans enantiomer, norephedrine). Also, because of its long duration of action (12-16 hours) and risk of pulmonary hypertension with long term use, it probably wouldn't fair well as a black market street drug.
