MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — "The number of Eastern Panhandle voters registered with the Democratic Party has dropped more than 2,500 over the last three years despite the region’s population growth, according to figures compiled by the West Virginia secretary of state’s office.

Between Dec. 31, 2016, and the end of 2019, the total number of Democratic Party registrations decreased to 37,456 in Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties, while Republican voters increased by more than 3,400 to 50,133, according to voter registration figures.

Statewide, there were 1,225,201 registered voters at year’s end — about 488,000 Democrats, 411,000 Republicans and 278,000 voters not affiliated with any party, according to state figures.

In December 2016, there were 1,275,241 registered voters, including about 569,000 Democrats, 398,000 Republicans and 267,000 unaffiliated."

NEW YORK (AP) — "Best Buy said it is investigating CEO Corie Barry after receiving an anonymous letter making allegations against her.

Best Buy declined to reveal the allegations but The Wall Street Journal, which first reported on the probe Friday, said it had seen the letter, which accused Barry of having an inappropriate romantic relationship with another executive."
