MOSCOW (Sputnik) – At least seven people have died and 25 others were injured in an explosion in Sudan’s capital, where security service protests took place earlier this month, the Saudi Al Arabiya TV channel reports.

The blast, which occurred in the al-Shegla area of Khartoum, could have been generated by an improvised explosive device, Al Arabiya said in the early hours of Tuesday, citing police sources.

Police have begun to inspect the site of the incident, it also said that investigations into the cause and source of the explosion are pending, Al Arabiya reported, citing a police statement.

Last week, security servicemen protested in Khartoum against planned department restructuring.

At least one Sudanese officer was reportedly killed and seven others were injured as a result of clashes between the security services and military forces. Khartoum International Airport was also temporarily shut down for security reasons.

YouTube has allegedly pulled livestream videos from a pro-gun rally in Richmond, Virginia, after claims of violence and controversy had surrounded the event.

Breitbart and WUSA9 both had livestreams removed from the channel according to a report.

Ruptly appears to have had a stream taken down, but continues to stream the event on the platform.

Global News is currently streaming an aerial shot of the event which has been hyped up to shape into a potential re-run of the fatal Charlottesville event two-and-a-half years ago.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s legal team is outraged that they are being denied access to key evidence as they attempt to prove their client’s innocence in the British court of law.

Assange attorney Gareth Peirce also claims that she has not been able to spend adequate time with her client, who is being detained in the Belmarsh facility in Britain. He is being held there as the U.S. attempts to extradite him to the states in order to charge him with 18 felony counts.

“We have pushed Belmarsh in every way – it is a breach of a defendant’s rights,” Pierce said.

Military Surveillance Aircraft Circling Richmond Ahead of Gun Rights Protest on Monday, According to Report

Earlier this week, Governor Blackface Northam declared a state of emergency at the Virginia Capitol and rendered the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution null and void with an edict, King George III style. This was announced in preparation for a historic rally outside of the Capitol on Monday.

“No weapons will be allowed on Capitol grounds,” Northam said. “Everything from sticks and bats to chains and projectiles…. The list also includes firearms. It makes no sense to ban every other weapon but allow firearms when intelligence shows that armed militia groups plan to storm the Capitol.”

Since that pronouncement, the government has drastically escalated the situation. A court signed off on the constitutionality of Northam’s decree shortly after three gun owners were arrested on dubious charges largely based on memes they posted in an encrypted chat room.

“This is the right decision. I took this action to protect Virginians from credible threats of violence. These threats are real—as evidenced by reports of neo-Nazis arrested this morning after discussing plans to head to Richmond with firearms,” said Coonman following the ruling.

“I’m grateful to the Circuit Court for recognizing the seriousness of these threats, and for upholding this reasonable, legal action to protect all Virginians, including demonstrators and policymakers. I will continue to do everything in my power to keep Virginians safe,” he added.

Trudeau defends apology and $10.5-million payment to Omar Khadr

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has defended the government's apology and settlement for Omar Khadr, saying his rights had to be defended.

"The Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects all Canadians, every one of us, even when it is uncomfortable," Mr. Trudeau said at the end of the Group of 20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany. "This is not about the detail of the merits of the Khadr case. When the government violates any Canadian's charter rights we all end up paying for it."

This week, the government officially apologized to Mr. Khadr for the role Canadian security officials played in the abuses he suffered as a teenage prisoner of the U.S. military at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Russia transports tanks to Syria amid new Syrian Army operation: photos

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:10 P.M.) – The Russian Navy has transported more military equipment to the Port of Tartous to support the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in their new operation in northwestern Syria.

According to the maritime observer, Yoruk Isik, the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s 197th Landing Ship Brigade’s Tsezar Kunikov 158 transited the Bosphorus Strait towards the Mediterranean en route to the Port of Tartous.

As pointed out by Isik, the Russian ship was likely transporting armored vehicles, in particular, tanks, to Syria, as this vessel has done so in the past.

SIS Member in Charge of Funding Sleeper Cells Killed in SDF Operation

A member of the ISIS terrorist group responsible for sleeper cell attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has been killed in Deir ez-Zur, Syria, according to a military spokesperson.

Abu Alward Al-Iraqi, an Iraqi citizen, was killed in an Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) and Syrian commando raid, OIR spokesman Col. Myles B. Caggins III said in a statement on Twitter. “The ISIS Oil Emir was killed during @SOJTFOIR & Syrian commando raid. This hinders Daesh’s ability to fund terrorism,” Caggins wrote on Sunday. According to the Rojava Network, Al-Iraqi was responsible for providing money and oil to finance ISIS cells.

The SDF said Al-Iraqi was killed when clashes erupted between ISIS terrorists and the Kurdish-led forces during the Jan. 14 operation where they were also able to “seize a quantity of ammunition and documents,” reported Kurdistan24.

Al-Iraqi “was in charge of oil and funding ISIS sleeper cells and supervising ISIS attacks in the area,” the SDF said.

Caggins said the operation disrupts the terror group’s ability to generate revenue to finance its activity in Deir ez-Zur.

New Bill to Allow Cops to Detain Citizens, Force Them to Explain Who They Are, What They're Doing

Kentucky — An ominous bill that is currently making its way through the Kentucky Senate aims to give police unprecedented unconstitutional powers. These new powers will allow cops to stop anyone they want and demand that person tell them who they are, where they are going, and explain their actions. Naturally, it has civil rights advocates up in arms, but it doesn’t seem to be slowing down the bill’s momentum.

Police merely need to make an unsubstantiated claim that a person is involved in criminal activity which gives them free reign to stop that person, demand his name, home address and age — as well as ask to see his driver’s license, if he has one — and tell him to explain what he is presently doing “to the satisfaction of the officer.”

If you invoke your constitutional right not to answer the officer’s questions, this new bill grants cops the right to detain you for two hours. Even more ominous is the fact that this detainment is not considered an arrest so you have no right to an attorney and police don’t even have to record it. This non-arrest grey area detention will undoubtedly be rife for abuse.

Nevertheless, advocates for the police state tyranny say cops must have this new ability—to keep us safe. As Kentucky.com reports, Sen. Stephen Meredith, R-Leitchfield, said Grayson County law enforcement officials asked him for the bill after a number of local incidents showed the need for it.
