The system is hunting from positive feedback - an inherently unstable condition.

A system where positive feedback is shut down requires enforceable rules - such as in a constitutional goverment; but in a system where free speech is unlimited, and no penalties and/or consequences incurred, there is no escaping positive feedback.

That's just the territory, nothing to be done about it.

Claude should know better than to taunt someone carrying a .50 cal sniper rifle with an effective range of 2 miles

When each node of a system is self-governing, that has the effect of diminishing positive feedback; but in a system such as this board, where some do not govern themselves in what they say, and are not governed by censoring, then you can have a case of runaway (hunting) extremes where posts amplify others in a cascade effect.

Power production and electrical system engineers can see the similarities.
