Because most people have no idea how any of this works the Chukee Cheeez rhetoric works with a large part of the people. The house is supposed to hear all the testimony and receive and put documents into evidence.
The Senate will hear the closing arguments and receive the evidence and documents and decide one way or the other based on what was brought over from the house. They do NOT introduce witnesses in the Senate. The house fucked it up. Most of what they sent over doesn't even have anything to do with the charges they filed. I'd bet a lot of it will not be allowed.
