Why New York and Cali?

What connects them?

Right away I go back to the Vanderbilt dig where New York state and the New York Central was Vanderbilt's big power center.

Then the Cali gold rush came about and Vanderbilt began steam boating to Panama then to LA.

Following Vanderbilt influence in Cali has not been done beyond this big connection:

The Vanderbilt family newspaper "Illustrated Daily" was sold to the "LA Times" owned by Harry Chandler.

Guess who Henry Chandler's most notorious decadent is?

Following the Vanderbilt's influence in Cali may prove fruitful.
