Virginia Senate Passes Red Flag Gun Seizure Bill Two Days After Second Amendment Rally

The leftist cultural imperialists who took control of Virginia last election thanks to immigration and demographic shifts are going full steam ahead with their plan to fundamentally transform the state into a mirror image of San Francisco

The Virginia state Senate voted Wednesday to advance a “red flag law” bill, one of many gun safety measures Democrats are looking to move through the state Legislature after taking control of both chambers.

The bill — SB 240, also known as an extreme risk protective order — creates a procedure for authorities, including law enforcement officers and attorneys, to apply for an emergency substantial risk order to prohibit “a person who poses a substantial risk of injury to himself or others from purchasing, possessing, or transporting a firearm.” Under the proposal, if such an order is issued, a judge or magistrate can issue a search warrant to remove firearms from that person.

The state Senate passed the measure in a party-line vote of 21-19. It now moves to the state House of Delegates for consideration.

Jake Rubenstein, a spokesman for Virginia House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn, said later Wednesday that the chamber “will deliver” on demands for “common sense gun violence protections.”

It matters that the Church of England came out in favor of heterosexual marriage, for marriage is a bulwark protecting girls from Islamic sex trafficking.

Daniel Greenfield has written a searing piece describing what was taking place in Manchester (although it’s almost redundant because it’s exactly what was taking place in Rotherham, Huddersfield, Bradford, Oxford, and innumerable other British cities). I strongly recommend that you read Greenfield’s entire article, but here are a few of the many deeply depressing, but still important, points he makes:

The report chronicles how Operation Augusta was launched and then scuttled after her death in 2003, despite identifying 97 suspects and 57 victims. The victims were, “mostly white girls aged between 12 and 16”, and the perpetrators were, “mostly men of ‘Asian heritage’”. By ‘Asian’, the report means “predominantly Pakistani men” though at least one of the perpetrators was apparently Tunisian.

250 million Microsoft customer support records leaked in plain text

Another day, another data breach but this time it involves the technology giant Microsoft. Apparently, the company exposed sensitive Customer Service and Support (CSS) records including conversations between Microsoft support agents and customers around the world.

These records were stored on a database indexed by the BinaryEdge search engine. In total Microsoft exposed 14 years’ worth of data with 250 million CSS records. This means records from 2005 to December 2019 were leaked online and left without any security authentication allowing the public to access it with just a web browser.

The data was discovered by CompariTech’s Bob Diachenko, a security researcher known for identifying exposed databases and reporting them respective owners to protect them from malicious access/use.

According to the company’s blog post, the data was left exposed for two days and contained a trove of sensitive information including:

1: Email IP addresses of Microsoft’s agents and customers

2: Location details of Microsoft’s customers

3: IP addresses of Microsoft’s customers

4: Descriptions of CSS claims and cases

5: Case numbers, resolutions, and remarks

6: Internal notes marked as confidential.

New sextortion scam claims to record you with hacked Google Nest cam

Researchers at the email cybersecurity firm Mimecast have identified a brand new sextortion campaign, which is somewhat unconventional. Unlike the typical scams as it is targeting Google Nest home security camera owners and exploiting the common perception that IoT devices are generally unsecured.

Detected in the early half of January 2020, Mimecast revealed that a majority of the victims of this campaign are based in the USA and the footage that Nest cameras capture is used to blackmail the victim. The scammers force the victim to access different email accounts and URLs to get instructions after they demand a ransom.

Mimecast’s data science overwatch head Kiri Addison states that this time around scammers are using quite a complex methodology for hiding the origin of the scam emails and conceal their identities. Researchers claim that so far the around 1,700 emails (mostly in the US) have sent by scammers.
