2 dead in plane crash near golf course in Placer County
AUBURN, Calif. —
Two people were killed and one person was injured when a plane crashed near a golf course in the Auburn area Friday morning, authorities said.
The single-engine plane crashed on private property in the area of the Black Oak Golf Course just before 10 a.m., according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.

The plane crashed in a backyard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
In an update just before noon, the sheriff's office said that two people aboard the plane had died in the crash. The severity of the injuries of the third person is not yet known.
