Again, posting thoughts vs presenting thoughts verbally can have an unintended effect.

The questions I posted were not meant as some way to alter belief but to cause more thought in why the Bible was recorded in such a way.

I don't subscribe to an all power satan/devil that has god like abilities & is trying to thwart God's will over mankind… Man does that well enough without the help of a all powerful alt-god.

It seems to me that all the mentionings of satan or devil in scripture are trying to provide a deeper understanding of our relationship with the Creator (or lack thereof).

Not believing in an all powerful satan/devil only causes me to have to own up to my failings.

I don't think those that believe in an all powerful alt-god are somehow less Christian than me though. If I am wrong then God will provide me with revelation…

Why create man if there was a creation ALREADY in existence that could choose to serve or not serve God?

God created the devil/satan as a 'personal being' would mean that the devil is actually doing the will of God… there is no continuity in that logic…
