Influenza deaths in US aren't in the 1000s- it's less than 20 every fucking year. They combine them with pneumonia and don't verify anymore. They stopped because it's easier to scare you by saying 15,000 people die from the flu. They just don't. Pneumonia technically means inflammation of the lungs and is caused by all sorts of shit, including "influenza-like respiratory illness" (ILRI) and you're FOUR TIMES MORE LIKELY to get that if you get the flu-shot than if you don't.
