Having trouble reconciling these two things, any thoughts?

  1. Why did the house not vote to open an impeachment investigation to allow for official subpoena power?

  2. Why did the house not allege any impeachable offences in their filing to the senate?

Thank you for this.

  1. If they are attempting to protect themselves from prosecution (which I believe is true), how did their strategy protect them?

  2. Your thoughts on the Senate flipping in allowing other evidence/testimony to be introduced? Or were the doors for this already kicked open in house manger testimony to have the defense bring enough to the public purview?
