Almost killed my wife, then gf. I was keeping my fever to around 101 with frequent advil and 1 liter of water every two hours. She got “cold” at 103 and covered herself in blankets and when I found her nearly unresponsive she was 104. I told her she could take a shower or go to the ER, she took the shower, screaming, then we got down to 102 over time and then into 101 territory. I have never personally experienced a virus that can make you go from 98.6 to 103 in hours. I think most issues and deaths are from people making bad choices at 103+
